Emcee Singapore Ainsley Chong - Reporting Live: Welcome to another incredible dinner to commemorate the Lunar New Year, courtesy of the wonderful people at Millennium Hotels and Resorts who have graciously brought me onboard to serve as their esteemed emcee for the evening! For starters, the organisers did a great job with the venue: the Grand Ballroom was so well-furbished and decorated with all sorts of ornate embellishments that it literally transformed the entire ballroom! I could barely recognise it at first, kudos to the organisers for a job well-done.
This was a very traditional CNY dinner, replete with lion dancers wowing the guests with their acrobatic skills and jaw-dropping stunts (they truly deserve so much credit for their talent and hard work, wow!) not to mention the dinner itself, which is a traditional lo hei filled with various ingredients that is significant to the importance of the Lunar New Year. The lo hei looked so amazing, especially when it was artistically crafted into different animals, including the koi fish and even the pig itself, obviously meant to usher in the Year of the Pig this 2019! This was a truly wonderful night filled with great food, happy guests and the atmosphere was jovial throughout the evening.
