SkillsFuture Earn & Learn Carnival 2018
Venue: Lifelong Learning Institute
Emcee Singapore Ainsley Chong - Reporting Live: It's good to be back bright and early for SkillsFuture Earn & Learn Carnival. Thank you for engaging Emcee Ainsley back for the second year running after last year's Launch.
Once again, the Earn and Learn Programme (ELP) is a work-learn programme that gives fresh graduates from the polytechnics and ITE a head-start in careers related to their discipline of study. It provides them with more opportunities after graduation to build on the skills and knowledge they acquired in school and better supports their transition into the workforce.
Between its inception in 2015 and June 2018, more than 2,400 trainees were jointed the ELIPs. The number of ELPs has also grown from 15 across 12 sectors in 2015 to 97 across 37 sectors in 2018. Ministry of Education and SkillsFuture Singapore aims to cover all major industry sectors as well as emerging sectors key to Singapore's economic growth.
Such a big fan of this programme and have heard from so many students on how they have benefitted from this. Kudos team,
Emcee Ainsley
