The FLC Scheme was incepted in 2005 to promote community support for family formation and to also strengthen the social fabric. FLCs have been playing an integral role in supporting national efforts to encourage and celebrate marriage and parenthood in the community through various initiatives and outreach programmes, and have also provided a platform to facilitate the formation of support groups.
Tonight's Award Ceremony, recognises the efforts and contributions of the FLCs and Family Life Connectors in reaching out to the different family segments, including the harder to reach group of young families, and serves to inspire you to reach out and engage more families through collaborations with different stakeholders.
Tonight is also the night where we gather to learn from one another and share best practices and ideas where we can bring back and implement at our individual Constituency.
