Emcee Singapore Ainsley Chong - Reporting Live:For those of you who are wondering what is this event all about, let me explain to you in a couple of pointers:
1. SkillsFuture Earn & Learn Programme (ELP) was launched in March 2015. ELP is a work-learn programme that gives fresh graduates from Polytechnics and Institute of Technical Education (ITE) a head-start in careers related to their discipline of study. The ELP provides students with more opportunities, after graduation, to build on the skills and knowledge they acquired in school, and better supports their transition into the workforce.
2. The ELP is fully sponsored by the participating employer, and participants will also get a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Participating employers can recruit local fresh Poly/ITE graduates, within three years of their graduation or ORD date for National Servicemen and prepare them to take up suitable job roles. Participants in the programme can look forward to a structured career progression pathway within the organisation
We also witnessed a MOU Signing Ceremony on the collaboration between Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Alpha Camp and Glints on the new ELP - Certificate in Entrepreneurship, we also had more performances from the students! This event saw over 2600 students from the different and ITEs coming together.
